Arnold City Council Votes on New Committee Members

Three appointments for two Arnold committees are the only items on the agenda for Thursday night's city council meeting.

The only items scheduled on the agenda packet are three appointments to two of the city’s committees: the Building Appeals Board, which resolves disputes of residential and commercial parties who disagree with the City’s Building Code, and the Aging and Disabilities Commission, which oversees the needs of the senior and disabled population in Arnold.

  • Betty Hutson, of Ward 4, is the third appointee of the night. Hutson is desiring to serve in the Aging and Disabilities Commission. Hutson currently serves as the state coordinator for the AARP Driver Safety Program. Hutson was also the administrator for the Arnold Senior Center for the Mid-East Area Agency on Aging. 

If approved, Huffy and Dunfee would both serve a one-year term and Hutson would serve a three-year term. The council meets at 7 p.m. today at in .
