Good evening,

Find out what's happening in Arnoldwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

I was notified by a member of the Elks Lodge on the West Outer Road that they are holding a drive tomorrow for any non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, blankets, clothing, etc. In short they are looking for most anything that can be sent to Joplin to help the victims of the weekend tornado get by. I have this word only a few minutes ago and have no details but I believe this is a short notice effort to help out. It looks like people are responding from all over the state to help fellow residents of Missouri. It is drawing national attention this disaster in far southwestern Missouri but it could easily have been our city and the people of Joplin and Marshfield could be responding to our needs. As you are able, please consider helping them out.

I ask that you spread the word on behalf of our neighbors in Joplin. Even if you are unable to help maybe someone else may be able to do so.

Thanks,
Bill Moritz
