Arnold Man Arrested in Connection With Murder of Elderly Man in Alabama
Scott Jones is charged with murder and attempted murder in a February 2010 homicide.

An Arnold man was arrested on Monday in connection with a homicide investigation in Mobile, AL, according to a report from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.
Scott Jones, 37, of Elk Ridge Drive in Arnold, was wanted by law enforcement authorities in Mobile in connection to a Feb. 2010 homicide in which someone entered an elderly couple's home during the night and assaulted them with a blunt object.
The male homeowner was killed and the female homeowner was incapacitated, according to the news release.

The investigation by Alabama authorities led them to Jefferson County, where Scott Jones was located in Arnold.
He was arrested on warrants issued from the state of Alabama that charged him with murder and attempted murder, according to the Jefferson County news release, which also indicated Jones waived extradition and was transported back to Mobile County, Alabama.
