Eagle Bank and Trust Company of Missouri is recognizing four award-winning employees for their outstanding contributions and service to their local communities. These individuals embody the mission of Eagle Bank – working to amaze their customers while striving to improve the communities they serve.
“The awards that our employees received reflect our sincere commitment to invest and give back to our local communities,” says Mike Walsh, president and chief executive officer of Eagle Bank and Trust. “We’re proud to have such dedicated and generous employees, who serve our customers and the greater community through their hard work and volunteerism.”
The following Eagle Bank employees were recognized and awarded for their contributions to various community organizations:
Donna Lawson – Arnold Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year
As assistant vice president and branch manager of the Arnold bank location, Donna Lawson provides reliable customer service and solutions for her clients. She is always looking for ways to be more involved. So Donna’s colleague encouraged her to join the Arnold Chamber of Commerce. It didn’t take long for her to become hooked. Donna is now serving her second year as treasurer on the Chamber’s board. She regularly attends Chamber board meetings, luncheons, breakfasts and other networking events, and manages the organization’s budget with regular accounting reports.
“The Chamber is a great partner for the City of Arnold, elevating its reputation amongst local and prospective businesses,” says Donna. “We’re helping to make Arnold a better place, which is why I was so touched to receive this award. It’s been a remarkable experience.”
In addition to her work with the Arnold Chamber of Commerce, Donna is a member of Professionals Referring Professionals; the Parish Council Secretary for Sacred Heart Church in Festus; the local American Red Cross Leadership Council; and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department S.A.F.E. team. She also volunteers at the American Red Cross, hosting blood drives two to three times a year.
Donna Kohl – Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year
As assistant vice president and branch manager at the Hillsboro bank location, Donna Kohl enjoys serving different customers every day and appreciates that no two days are alike. She joined the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce five years ago after one of her co-workers encouraged her to get involved. She has contributed a great deal to the Chamber, including attending monthly meetings and volunteering at the two-day Hillsboro Fest.
“The Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce is just one more way that I get to interact with my customers and the general public,” says Donna. “It means so much that my peers recognized my efforts and commitment to making Hillsboro a great place to live and work. I take great pride in being able to contribute to such a worthy organization.”
Donna’s dedication to her job and the community is inspiring. She has worked at Eagle Bank for the last 13 years, persevering with a positive attitude while surviving a heart and double lung transplant in 2000, kidney cancer in 2009 and lymphoma in 2011. Donna truly embodies what it means to be a dedicated worker and citizen. She is also a member of the Hillsboro Rotary, Hillsboro Lion’s Club, and the Second Wind Lung Transplant Association
Pat Kelly – Alumni of the Year at St. Mary Magdalen School in Brentwood
As vice president of business and community development at the Brentwood and Chippewa bank locations for the past four years, Pat Kelly enjoys interacting with his bank customers, colleagues and community leaders. He is also a dedicated alumni and parishioner at St. Mary Magdalen school and church, where he has coached a number of CYC basketball and softball teams. Pat and his wife, Marion, regularly volunteer at various church events.
“I was really honored and humbled to be recognized by St. Mary Magdalen School in this capacity,” says Pat. “I take great pride in being able to help out wherever and whenever I’m needed. It’s so important to give back.”
Pat knows how important it is to invest in the community. He has given nearly 20 years to the City of Brentwood, serving as mayor for the last 11 years and an alderman for eight years prior. He also serves on the committees of various organizations, including the St. Louis County Municipal League, Mayors of Small Cities Organization, St. Louis County Economical Collaborative Committee, and the St. Louis Jefferson County Solid Waste Commission.
Missy Muñoz – West County Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year
As market manager of business development at the West County bank location for the last two years, Missy Muñoz has worked to improve the bank’s services and accessibility for customers. In fact, she recently collaborated with Eagle Bank executives to extend the location’s hours of operation, much to the delight of her customers. Missy has gotten to know many of her customers and local businesses through her involvement with the West County Chamber of Commerce. She has been an Ambassador for the Chamber, Member of the Board of Directors, and Chairwoman of the West County Young Professionals.
“The West County Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year is my first official award in my career,” says Missy. “I was genuinely surprised and honored to receive this recognition for my hard work. I enjoy donating my time and getting a chance to meet so many great people in our community.”
In addition to the West County Chamber of Commerce, Missy also volunteers her time for the St. Patrick Center, Burns Recovered Support Group, and Ride on St. Louis.
