Arnold Starbucks Seeks to Help Local Charities
Although the Arnold store has been open for only five months, the national coffee retailer wants to support and strengthen Arnold's non-profits.
When Starbucks opened the Arnold location earlier this year, it decided to help the residents and charities in the city.
“We’re really about more than selling coffee,” Wise said about the company.
Although the local store has donated coffee and pastries to the Arnold Food Pantry, for a fundraiser for the non-profit’s new building and to help feed hungry Jefferson County families, Store Manager Megan Williams said she and her staff would like to personally participate in more activities with more Arnold charities.
“We have a really diverse group of people and each one has a passion,” Williams said.
About 10 people work at the Arnold coffee shop and each person could volunteer between two to four hours per week, she said.
Williams said she has talked with Arnold councilmen and contacted a few local charities. She is still waiting to learn how her staffers can help Arnold.
Any organization wanting to work with the Arnold Starbucks should call 636-287-9626.
