What traditions does your family have for Thanksgiving? Mine always starts playing Christmas music at dinner and the next day the guys hang the Christmas lights and we eat leftovers!

My mom is looking for a fabulous vegetable recipe for Thanksgiving that goes beyond the typical green beans, corn, and sweet potatoes. Anyone have any fabulous ideas? I suggested brussels sprouts and she said I'd be the only person who would eat them.

I have a recipe for artichoke and green bean casserole that is a hit at our house. If you'd like it, let me know. Also watched Guys Big Bite this weekend and he made green bean casserole with a twist. It looked delicious!

Roasted cauliflower and Medjool dates with butter and pine nuts - it's been a huge hit the past few years I've made it!

In my family, the day after Thanksgiving, the guys in the family all meet at my brother's house and put up his Christmas lights-- they progress to each home putting up lights finishing at my parent's home. While the guys finish up on the roof mom and I are heating all of the left overs - we all have leftover lunch together.

How can I enjoy Thanksgiving food even though I stopped eating wheat, corn and rice? Yikes...

No problem, Turkey, cranberries and sweet potatoes. What else can you ask for.
