Voters can expect to see at least three names on the ballot in the Arnold mayor's race April 2.
Candidate filing began on Tuesday and ends at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15. In Arnold, the mayoral position and one seat in each of the city's four wards is up for grabs.
As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, the following candidates (listed in alphabetical order) had filed for office:
Arnold Mayor (Four-year term)
- Doris Borget, Ward 1 Councilwoman
- Ron Counts, (I)
- Ken Moss, Ward 4 Councilman
Arnold City Council - Ward 1 (Two-year term)
- Jason Fulbright
- Shaun Missey
Arnold City Council - Ward 2 (Two-year term)
- Mary Coleman
- Jeff Fitter
Arnold City Council - Ward 3 (Two-year term)
No candidates filed by 5 p.m. Tuesday
Arnold City Council - Ward 4 (Two-year term)
- Claude "Butch" Cooley
- Sandra Kownacki (I)
The seats up for election in Arnold are currently occupied by Ron Counts, mayor; Doris Borgelt, Ward 1; Bill Moritz, Ward 2; Phil Amato, Ward 3; and Sandra Kownacki, Ward 4.
Meanwhile, in the Fox School District, voters will decide on two three-year seats on the Board pf Education. Those positions are currently occupied by Ruth Ann Newman and Pete Nichols.
As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, Ruth Ann Newman and Pete Nichols were the only candidates who had filed for the seats.
