Bill Moritz Not Seeking Reelection to Arnold City Council
Moritz, who has served as a Ward 2 councilman since 2007, says a job change has precluded him from seeking a fourth term.
Ward 2 Arnold City Councilman Bill Moritz is not seeking reelection to his seat in 2013.
Moritz told Patch a job change has precluded him from seeking a fourth term. According to his bio on the City of Arnold website, Moritz has been employed with Boeing since 1981 and is currently an aircraft production manager.
Moritz was first elected to the council in 2007 and reelected in 2009 and 2011. He is a lifelong Arnold resident.
Mary Coleman and Jeff Fitter are running for the Ward 2 seat in the April 2013 election.

It's too bad he's not running, because he is late on his personal property taxes, which are as of today not listed as paid on the county website. Would he have been kicked off the ballot? He wasn't in 2011.

What do you mean? I just checked the county assessors office and it says he paid on 12/12/2012. Recheck the site.

You are confused I think. His real estate taxes were paid 12/12/12 (likely by his lien holder out of escrow). His personal property taxes are still outstanding with a $41.90 Penalty See: http://jeffersonmo.devnetwedge.com/view/PP/071280

The Jefferson County website is not necessarily up to date. I recently have found that to be the case in doing research for another story. The only way to find out the exact date a tax is paid is to contact the collector directly.
