Fewer Complaints from Value Place Hotel

But the complaints will never be eliminated, says Arnold Police Chief Robert Shockey.

There are fewer calls asking for Arnold police officers to handle complaints at the Value Place hotel at 888 Arnold Commons.

Arnold City Hall and police almost closed the Arnold location of the Kansas-based hotel-chain, in April 2011,  due to numerous drug-related charges at occurred at Arnold hotel during a two-year period.

But those calls will never be eliminated said Arnold Police Cheif Robert Shockey in response to a question from Ward 1 Councilman Doris Borgelt during the city council meeting at Arnold City Hall, at 2101 Jeffco Blvd., on Thursday on March 1.

"The number of calls about Value Place is comparable to calls about other hotels in Arnold," Shockey said.

Hotel managers, guests or residents call police to complain about too many people in a room, loud noise at night or about people failling to pay their bill.

"We (the police) get calls about all the hotels in Arnold," Shockey said.
