Seckman Head Coach Critchlow chomps down on hot wings at Cafe Arnold during the First Annual Chicken Wing Eating Contest between Fox and Seckman. The schools are rekindling their district rivalry now that the two Fox District varsity football teams are scheduled to play each other August 24.

Cafe Arnold, the Home of Fox Football, sponsored a First Annual Chicken Wing Eating Contest between Fox and Seckman football coaches. The restaurant donated 50 pounds of extra saucy hot wings to the cause.

The Fox Warriors were represented by Defensive Line Coach Saputo, Offensive Line Coach McKinny and Defensive Back Coach Brengle. The Seckman Jaguars were represented by JV Defensive Coordinator Matt Unterreiner, Varsity Coach Louie Aguiar and Head Coach Jamie Critchlow.

The contest was simple: three coaches from each football team would face down a tray of hot wings. All the meat had to be eaten before a wing could be counted and bones were tossed into a bowl to be tallied by a player from the opposing side after the contest.

They had ten minutes to devour as many wings as they could, and water to wash it down.

The race was neck in neck, with Fox coming out on top with 117 wings to Seckman's 109.
