Imperial Man Dies After Car Crash on I-55
The crash happened in Imperial just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
A 41-year-old Imperial man was pronounced dead after striking a bridge near Interstate 55 and Imperial Main Street on Wednesday morning.

A 41-year-old Imperial man was pronounced dead at the scene of a car accident on Wednesday.
Keith Labitska had been driving northbound on Interstate 55 near Imperial Main Street when he swerved off the road to avoid a dead deer, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
At 8:10 a.m., Labitska drove his 2005 Chevy Malibu off the road and crashed into the bridge, the report notes.
He was pronounced dead on the scene at 8:20 a.m.
