Jefferson County Educator, Science Art Fair Leader Died on Friday
Eva Kirkpatrick died at the age of 86 on June 8 at St. Clare Health Center in Fenton.
Eva Kirkpatrick, who helped create the Mastodon Art/Science Regional Fair, died on Friday, June 8, at St. Clare Health Center in Fenton.
Kirkpatrick campaigned to create Jefferson College and the Jefferson County Public Library, the stltoday.com website reports.
She eventually became a trustee at Jefferson College.
The Missouri Academy of Science honored Kirkpatrick, in 2011, for her science education contributions. She also wrote a nature column for the Jefferson County Journal, the news webiste reports.
Kirkpatrick taught science classes in the Fox C-6 School District for 24 years.
Eva Kirkpatrick was 86 years old.
