A man wielding a machete forced his way into a Fenton home on Wednesday demanding to know who stole his money and drugs, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

The incident happened on Cove Drive. A man told police that he was eating dinner when there was a knock on the door. He went to answer the door and another man, wielding a machete, forced his way inside. The man was able to escape from the home without being injured and called 911.

A woman who was inside the home said the intruder then demanded information from her as to who had stolen his money and drugs. When she failed to answer, he dragged her out of the home, threatening to kill her, and at one point held the tip of the machete to her side as he steered her through the neighborhood looking for someone.

A friend of the woman drove by, and when the friend stopped to talk and got out of her vehicle, the man dropped the machete. By that time, sheriff's deputies arrived, located the man a short distance from the home and arrested him. The machete was recovered nearby and seized as evidence.
