Two Arnold residents were arrested and charged in connection with the meth lab.
Two people from Arnold were arrested following a drug bust at a vacant house on Parkview Court last Friday, police say.
Following the bust, police arrested a 45-year-old man and 23-year-old woman on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, drug distribution and endangering the life of a child, who was present. The suspects were released pending formal charges from the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
Officers discovered materials used to make methamphetamine—such as burnt spoons, tubing and glass jars—in the house's basement, said Maj. Nick McBroom of the Arnold Police Department.
Police were responding to a crime tip when the bust happened.
Arnold police called in assistance from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit once the drug materials were discovered.
The suspects' names are being withheld until formal charges are processed.
