Meth Lab Found Behind Arnold Hibbett Sports

Based on the age of the items found, the lab was not a threat to the public, Arnold police say.

Arnold police received a call on Sunday, Dec. 2 regarding a possible meth lab in the wooded area behind Hibbett Sports at 3819 Vogel Road.

Officers found several items they refer to as “lab trash,” meaning the materials were discarded after a lab was completed. Based the age of the materials, they were not considered a threat to the public.

Members of the Municipal Enforcement Group responded to the area to remove the items, which were turned over to the Jefferson County Narcotics Unit.

Maj. Nick McBroom, of the Arnold Police Department, told Patch Wednesday that because the materials were so old, there's not much that can be done with them to further the investigation.
