MoDOT I-270 Update: Expect Brief Closures Friday
MoDOT reports the I-270 closures will continue Friday and so far there have not been major problems or delays.
The Missouri Department of Transportation reports Thursday that morning and afternoon closures went as planned in the Interstate 270 work zone in West County. Rock blasting is taking place between Manchester and Big Bend roads daily.

MoDOT reports no major problems or traffic delays in the area and plans to move forward with Friday's morning and afternoon blasts as originally scheduled.
The morning blasting time is around 10 a.m. and the afternoon is around 1:30 p.m. Drivers are advised to avoid that area during blasting because I-270 will close for approximately 15 minutes around those times during the weekdays.
"The major routes like Manchester, Dougherty Ferry and Big Bend still do not have traffic back-ups due to the interstate closure," MoDOT stated in a news release Thursday afternoon.
