New Life for Old Kmart Building in Arnold Crossroads?
A tool store has announced plans to set up shop in part of the complex. And Arnold Mayor Ron Counts says another major business deal is in the works for the rest of the building.
A new tool store is scheduled to open in the old Kmart complex at Arnold Crossroads, and another new business announcement may be coming soon.
Arnold Mayor Ron Counts told Patch there's a major business deal in the works for the rest of the old Kmart building.
"I can't name the company, but it will be well received by the community," he said.
Northern Tool + Equipment announced plans to open at this spring, according to a Dec. 27 article in the Arnold-Imperial Leader. It will occupy a 15,000-square-foot store at the west end of the building.
This will be the company's first location in Missouri. According to its website, Northern Tool + Equipment currently has 79 stores in 16 states.
The 70,000-square-foot complex, owned by Jones Realty, currently has one tenant - China King. Cici's Pizza closed late last year.
