Police Arrest 6 for DWI, Drugs, Paraphernalia

Six people were taken into custody by Arnold police for DWI or drug and/or paraphernalia possession between Dec. 18 and 23.

Tuesday, Dec. 18

  • Officers investigating a vehicle accident at 3900 Jeffco Blvd. arrested a 25-year-old Imperial man for DWI. He had a blood alcohol content of .310 percent. The man was booked and released to a sober driver.

Thursday, Dec. 20

  • Officers investigating a 911 hang-up call that came from an apartment in the 1200 block of Airglades Dr. arrested a 30-year-old Arnold man after he was found with drug paraphernalia. He was released at the scene on a summons.

Officers checking on a suspicious vehicle at Strawberry Creek Nature Area learned that it was wanted for leaving the scene of an accident in St. Louis City. Police discovered the owner of the vehicle, a 17-year-old Pacific woman, was in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was issued summons and released. A 16-year-old from Arnold in the vehicle was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was released to his father at the scene, and a report will be forwarded to juvenile officers. Another occupant, a 17-year-old Arnold man, was found to have outstanding warrants from the Arnold Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. He was also the driver of the vehicle during the accident in St. Louis City. However, he was suffering the effects of ingesting heroin. He was transferred to St. Anthony's Medical Center for treatment. A fourth occupant was released at the scene without charges.

Saturday, Dec. 22

  • A 22-year-old St. Louis woman was arrested for DWI after being involved in a single vehicle accident at Jeffco Boulevard and Mary. She later submitted to a breath test resulting in a .213 percent blood alcohol content. Following booking, she was released to a sober driver.

Sunday, Dec. 23

Officers investigating an accident at 54th Street Bar and Grill at 2236 Michigan Ave. arrested a 50-year-old St. Louis man who was found to be intoxicated. The man, who refused a breath test, was booked and later released to a sober driver.
