Readers' Choice 2012: What’s Your Favorite Movie Theater?
Nominations are open for the best cinema in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
The St. Louis movie theater scene is varied. From the Landmark cinemas that feature intimate rooms, wine, beer and independent films, to the larger scale theaters with blockbuster movies, arcade alleys and 3D Mega Screens.
Theaters in St. Louis cater to every audience and we need our readers to tell us which is their favorite.
All you have to do is write in the comments section below your favorite movie theater in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Please tell us why, too!
Nominations can be made from today until July 9. Voting will begin thereafter. Make sure to tell all your friends and family to participate.

Hipointe hands down! State-of-the-art digital sound. Fresh-made popcorn every show, absolutely best concession prices, last locally owned single screen theater in town.

My movie room. Huge screen. Great sound. Nobody gabbing on the cellphone, narrating, cat-calling, sneezing, or sitting in front of me with a beehive hairdo. I predict movie theaters are dinosaurs. With online services like Apple TV, you can get movies at home for less money whenever you want. Soon, the movie studios will figure out they can make more money streaming new movies than worrying about whether the four walls companies make money overcharging for popcorn.

The Great Escape in Fenton is my favorite. The seats atr large and cushy. They literally rock. The prices are reasonable. The place is very clean and does not have that leftover smell that you find in some theaters.

Love the Hi-Pointe for new movies. Big screen, no movies next door to add noise, great popcorn, retro atmosphere, and great deals on weeknights.

The Hi-Pointe is the best! Who else has a dog? Do you know about the candy dishes in the restrooms? They also have popcorn buttering/salting down to a science.

The Hi-Pointe Movie Theater at Clayton and McCausland should win "hands down". First-run movies, 90 yr old locally owned business, best urinals (upstairs) according to RFT, cult movies at midnight Saturday, and "goldie oldies" on Saturday afternoon. Cheap prices, Mon-Thurs, so ANYONE can attend! Beer, fresh popcorn, the list goes on and on!!! For "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter" they are showing 2D and 3D so you have a choice. Love Bella, the theater dog!

Mark, I've heard so many good things about Hi-Pointe but I haven't been yet. I think your endorsement just sold me.

The Hi-Pointe Theatre, they have the best ushers, concessionaires and box office staff in St. Louis movie theater land.
