"I had a wonderful group of people behind me in the campaign and I want to thank each and every one of you," Counts said, after the results were announced. "We've got to bring our city back, and we've got some really good people on board to move Arnold forward."

Counts was referring to the candidates who won the election on the city council. One seat in each of the city's four wards was also up for grabs.
