Based on recent current events around the nation involving active shooter incidents, St. Louis County Police Department has added a video on its website in an effort to provide guidance for those who might find themselves in the middle of a life-threatening situation The video can be viewed with this article or found on the county police website at www.stlouisco.com/police. It's the video in the upper right hand corner called "Run. Hide. Fight."
The professionally made video provides a chilling scenario that, sadly, some people have found themselves in the middle of recently. This is obviously a fake video, because at the 1 minute mark, you can clearly see the "30.06 Sign" as they call them in Texas, posted on the building. This magical rune prevents any and all individuals from carrying firearms in the building. So, as long as you stand behind the sign, the active shooter cannot bring their firearm in the building, and you can make faces at them through the glass.....Since that is the case, not really sure why the rest of this video is necessary........What I find most hilarious is the "improvise weapons" suggestion. How about, "carry a well maintained, range tested weapons platform, on which you are exhaustively familiar and comfortable with?" I would much rather trust OODA and that action beats reaction, than bury my head and make bows and flaming arrows out of paper clips and Wite-Out like they did in the Gremlins, while I throw myself upon the mercy of a bloody thirsty psychopath, and hope he is benevolent, or just bad at hide and seek. This video is insulting to anyone with more than 2 brain cells.
