Jefferson County residents are invited to attend, in costume, U.S. Cellular’s Spooktacular event from noon-4 p.m. on Saturday at the retailer’s location at 131 Twin City Mall in Crystal City.

The retailer will host kid-friendly activities that include pumpkin painting, face painting and a bounce house, the retailer said in a news release.

Parents can benefit by picking up a free child identification kit to help ensure their children’s safety throughout the year. The kit includes personal and medical record cards, a fingerprint card and ink strip, a clean wet napkin and a DNA kit.

The Festus Fire Department will be on site to provide parents with helpful Halloween safety tips.
