What's Closed on Presidents Day?
Today is a federal holiday, which means many offices are closed.
Presidents Day, also recognized as George Washington's Birthday, is a federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday of February each year. That falls on Monday, February 20 this year.
Because it is a federal holiday, many offices are closed in Arnold. Here's a list of closings:
- Fox School District schools
- Arnold city hall
- Jefferson County public libraries, including the Arnold branch
- Most banks, including Bank of America, PNC Bank and U.S. Bank
- The U.S. Postal Service won't run on Monday either.
The Arnold Recreation Center is open. The next scheduled closing is on April 11, for Easter.
