Will Route M's Closing Affect Your Driving?

A portion of the highway will be closed for four weeks while crews work on road improvements.

Some motorists hoping to drive from south Jefferson County to Arnold can expect a closure on Route M.

A part of Route M is expected to be closed for four weeks as crews work on new traffic signals, and replace a culvert and guardrail.

Route M will close starting Monday between the southbound I-55 exit ramp to the northbound I-55 entrance ramp, notes a Missouri Department of Transportation news release.

Motorists won't be able to access northbound I-55 from Route M. They can detour to Route 61/67 using Route Z or Imperial Main Street, the release notes.

The updates are part of the I-55 and Route M Interchange Improvement Project.
