Woman Found Dead in Imperial Believed to Have Been Murdered

The investigation has been turned over to the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis.

 

The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis is investigating the death of woman found in Imperial as a homicide.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department received a call around 8:30 a.m. Sunday about a person who was possibly intoxicated laying in the woods at Butler Valley Drive and Antonia Court, said Capt. Mark Tulgetske with the Major Case Squad. When deputies arrived, they determined the woman was dead.

Tulgetske told Patch investigators have determined the woman is 34 years old, but said they are not releasing any additional information at this time, including the cause of death.
