Woman Punched Her 3-Year-Old Daughter, Police Say

The Barnhart woman faces child abuse charges after an investigation showed that she punched her daughter, police say.

A Barnhart woman is facing child abuse charges following an incident on Feb. 16. 

Amy Jordan, who lives at 1741 Dandridge Lane, is accused of punching her 3-year-old daughter, Jefferson County Sheriff's Department police state in court documents. An investigation by a state worker revealed that Jordan caused a large bruise underneath her daughter's left eye, the documents note. 

Jordan, 29, faces child abuse charges fom the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's Office stemming from the incident. Child abuse is a class C felony.
