Often, when I write blog entries, I do so as your councilwoman.  Today, I write to you solely as a concerned neighbor and friend. 

This morning, one of our dear neighbors contacted me to tell me that his
daughter-in-law had lost her job and was looking for a new job.  She has been out of work for a long time, and her family is about to lose their home. 

Although I have heard similar stories in the past, every time I hear something like this, my heart breaks.  The economy is still struggling, as are many of our families, neighbors and friends. 

So, today, I am dedicating this blog entry to all those who are unemployed.  If you are unemployed,  click here for some free resources to help.

For those of you who are fortunate to have a job, or know of places that are hiring, I ask for your help.
