Fox School Board member Dan E. Smith has filed to be a candidate in the election for state representative for the 113th district.  Smith, in a news release to ArnoldPatch, said he would focus on residents who have " 'fallen between the cracks' and who need someone to help them." He said he would work to improve the district's business climate. The business friendly approach will attract more jobs and revenue to the area, improve shopping choices and provide more convenient services to residents, Smith said. Officials for the city of Arnold, Mo., are studying the possibility of privatizing the city’s sewer system. This would be a positive development for several reasons. The city could raise a large amount of money through the sale of its sewer system — possibly millions of dollars.
