Ameren Missouri, Jefferson County Health Department and Hammers of Hope have teamed up to help avoid heat-related illnesses and deaths, especially among the low income elderly and disabled, and needy families with small critically-ill children by giving away over 60 free window air conditioners.
How it works
Contact the Jefferson County Health or Hammers of Hope and request an application. Once your income has been verified a Hammers of Hope team will deliver the unit to your home and install it.

All 50 units donated by Ameren have been distributed as of Saturday, June 30th. We do have about 7 smaller units available for seniors 65 and over only that would be good for a bedroom. Call Dennis Murphy at 636-464-5144 x15.
