DESCRIPTION:St. Louis Family Hosts Fundraiser to Help Adopted Son\nBlair
 Family Races Towards Solution\n&nbsp\;\nSt. Louis\, MO&mdash\;On Saturda
y\, January 12\, 2013\, Jenny and Dennis Blair will host Team NOAH Dinne
r and Mouse Races Benefit at Andre&rsquo\;s West in Fenton\, MO to help
raise funds for a treatment program for their adopted son who is struggl
ing with a variety of challenges. The event begins at 7 p.m.\; a $25 tic
 ket includes a full meal\, open bar\, access to auctions\, raffles\, mou
se races\, and more. &nbsp\;\nThe Arnold-based Blair family adopted nine
year old Noah from Dnipropetrovs&rsquo\;k\, Ukraine when he was two yea
rs old. He was born seven weeks premature\, spent five months in a hospi
tal\, and then moved to an orphanage where he remained until his adoptio
 n. While in the orphanage\, Noah was severely neglected\, abused\, and m
alnourished&mdash\;conditions that greatly contributed to his already ha
 rd start in life.\n&ldquo\;When I first saw Noah\, I couldn&rsquo\;t bel
ieve the environment in which he was living\,&rdquo\; said Jenny. &ldquo
\;The staff referred to him as &lsquo\;trash&rsquo\; when my husband and
I expressed interest in adopting him. Their &lsquo\;trash&rsquo\; has b
ecome our greatest treasure&mdash\;one we are struggling to protect and
keep safe.&rdquo\;\nNoah is currently diagnosed with autism spectrum dis
order\, post-traumatic stress disorder\, complex learning and attention
disorders\, sensory integration disorder\, brain damage and dysfunction\
, chronic psychiatric disorder\, severe disruptive and behavioral disord
 er\, insomnia\, hyperactivity\, fetal alcohol syndrome\, and reactive at
tachment disorder. This long list of challenges makes it increasingly di
fficult for Noah to interact appropriately with his parents\, sister\, t
eachers\, and classmates.\nIn 2012\, the Blair family attended a seminar
in Denver\, Colorado called Beyond Consequences\, featuring Dr. Ronald
Federici. A developmental neuropsychologist\, Dr. Federici is regarded a
s the country&rsquo\;s expert in the neuropsychological and evaluation a
nd treatment of children having multi-sensory neurodevelopmental impairm
ents. He has worked abroad in institutional settings for over a decade a
nd leads a team in comprehensive evaluation and de-institutionalization
programs. He speaks widely about the post-institutionalized child and is
the clinic director and supervisor at his treatment center: Care for Ch
ildren International. The Blair family will be attending his treatment p
rogram in January 2013&mdash\;a program for which there is no insurance
 coverage.\nTo date\, the Team Noah fundraising effort has raised $2000\;
the cost for Noah&rsquo\;s treatment program is $8000. To purchase a ti
cket to the event\, or to make a donation of any size to help\, please v
