The 30-year-old non-profit organization feeds more than 150 families, weekly, in Arnold, Imperial and the unincorporated section of Fenton, MO., the news release said.

Other than fundraisers and donations, the thrift store is the main income source for the non-profit. In previous interviews with ArnoldPatch, Director Kathy Flanigan said the food pantry receives no government funds money to feed Jefferson County’s hungry families.

Pantry Board President, retired Pastor Roger Horn, will make a formal announcement about the new building at the Wilde Service Center, at 849 Jeffco Blvd., on May 31 at 7 p.m.

“With the additional space, the Arnold Food Pantry Board will now explore more ways to serve the public,” Horn said in the news release.  “Our new building will have room for not only serving more people to rid our community of hunger, but the additional space we hope to use by providing counseling and assistance in resume writing to help some of our clients get back on their feet.”

The public is invited to attend the event, the news release said. Free refreshments will be provided by Arnold’s new Starbucks café.

The pantry is currently located at 25 Village Plaza near the city’s southern border. As other news outlets have reported, the pantry has been robbed at its current location.
