Bring Your Dogs to the Arnold Pool Saturday

The pool will host its annual dog swim from noon to 4 p.m.

The outdoor pool at the shut down for the season on Monday, but on Saturday it will open one more time for furry customers.

Dog owners can bring their canine companions to the pool on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Dogs will be allowed to swim off the leash. Small dogs--those under 25 pounds--can swim from noon to 2 p.m., and larger dogs will have the pool from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.Β 

There is a $5 fee for one dog and one human, which will benefit the . There is an additional $1 fee for each additional human attending the event.

Please bring checks or cash only. Do not bring dogs into the Rec Center for this event--the outdoor pool has a separate entrance. Dress for getting wet, Rec Center staff said that owners are welcome to join their dogs in the water, though many stay on the pool deck.

After the dog swim the pool will be cleaned and winterized. The indoor pool will remain open (for people) all year.
