Meramec River Flooding Spills Into Backyards, Closes Arnold City Park

This weekend's rain has kept Arnold City Park closed through Monday, according to the city's parks and recreation department. The park first closed Friday evening with the cancellation of a scheduled concert

The river is expected to crest Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Neighbors have been quick to share photos of the flooding so far. A gallery from our partners at FOX2 reveal the Meramec River creeping through neighbors' fences and into their backyards.

Watch FOX2 video that shows how neighbors to the Meramec are using sandbags to deal with the flooding.

Arnold Stream Team 211 has also been keeping a close eye on this weekend's flooding, and posted more than 40 photos to their album on Facebook.

Patch will update this story as more information becomes available.
