Shopping Event Benefits Jefferson County Pet Food Pantry

This weekend's two-day shopping event featuring local, independent women entrepreneurs also benefits the Jefferson County Pet Food Pantry.

If you’re heading to , be sure to bring some pet food along with you!

Stop, Shop & Support will benefit the Jefferson County Pet Food Pantry, which helps provide food to families in need.

“The shelters are packed full of highly adoptable animals who have been dumped or abandoned because the owners didn’t have the resources to care for them,” said Debby Mikles, founder of the pet food pantry. “I give pet food to low income residents of Jefferson County so they can keep their beloved pets at home and not have to surrender them.”

The pantry—which was founded and is run locally by Mikles—is a perfect charitable choice for the holiday vendor fair featuring entrepreneurial women in South St. Louis County.

“We always want to come from a place of contribution,” said Kim Tucker, founder of Haute Haus Fashions, LLC, and a vendor at this weekend’s fair. “It always makes you feel good when you can do something that’s linked to something noble.”

Stop, Shop & Support runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 9 at 11231 Concord Village Ave in a space donated by the Travel Hause Travel Agency.

Vendors will also donate goods for a raffle benefiting the Jefferson County Pet Food Pantry. Vendors include Apriori Beauty, Scentsy, It Works Wraps, Lia Sophia Jewelry, Salon Inertia, Pure Romance, 31 Gifts, Moonlight Cupcakes (Sunday only), ChocWhits Candy & Favors, Haute Haus, Flamm Realty, AMS Photography, FacePaintingstl Samantha, The Clear Bag Store, Pampered Chef, and Tupperware.
