Spooky the Pot-Bellied Pig Needs a New Home for Halloween

Spooky and other pets are waiting for adoption at the Jefferson County Animal Control Center.

Many thanks to Arnold resident Loretta Buettner, a volunteer at the Jefferson County Animal Control Center, for submitting the photos of adoptable pets.

If you're interested in learning more about the pets, please remember their identification numbers to help the center's staff find them.

The shelter is located at 7105 Shelter Road in Barnhart. The phone number is 636-797-5577.

An adoption fee of $135 pays for spay/neuter, vaccinations, tests, a microchip and exams.

What beautiful animals. Hopefully they will all get a forever home. Too many sweet innocent animals left without a home or people to love and take care of them. Having a pet spayed or neutered helps keep pets just like these from being homeless. Animals have feelings and personalities just like people and should not have to be abandoned if at all possible. And I personally know pet ownership can be expensive especially vet expenses, but there are many resouces that are available to provide these services at a very reasonable cost. Having a pet can be the greatest joy in a persons life so be a responsible pet owner because our pets deserve that.
