Saint Louis Bread Company, Panera's parent company, is offering free coffee to people who walk into St. Louis region's restaurants on Wednesday, Feb. 1, between 6-9 a.m.
The company, in a news release, is launching Warm Up Wednesdays in February to provide free beverages and soup to people working outdoors in February.
Street teams in the St. Louis area will look for police, firefighters, municipal and construction workers, and all people who work outdoors in bad weather.
People can also tell the company about employees working outdoors, who could use the warm food items, by sending a Twitter message using the term #WarmUpWednesday to @panerabread, or by posting a message on the company's Facebook account at facebook.com/panerabread on Tuesdays.
The company is also running a food drive to help local neighbors. Anyone who brings three non-perishable food items to any Panera restaurant, on Feb. 29, will get a free bowl of soup.
