Free Chick-fil-A on Friday the 13th

Chick-fil-A offering free meals on Cow Appreciation Day, Friday, July 13

is offering a free meal to any customer who visits the restaurants dressed as a cow on Friday, July 13.

Customers dressed, from head to toe, as a cow will recieve a free breakfast, lunch or dinner, a company news release said. The free meal includes an entrée of choice, a side item and the desired beverage.

People wearing partial cow costumes will recieve a complimentary entrée.

The restaurant chain also has cow-costume a photo contest on Facebook. The best cow-dressed customers can win catered parties, gift cards and towels in one of three categories: Best Calf/Calves, Best Cow, and Best Herd. Customers can upload contest photos July 13-31.

In 2011, almost 600,000 customers wore costumes, which ranged from simple cow-spotted t-shirts to full cow suits with furry ears and cow bells, to particpate in the event.
