Free Movie Rentals at Family Video

The company is running a new program to help families and college students in this economy, the regional director said.

, at 1845 Jeffco Blvd., is offering free video rentals every day to help customers during this economy.

”This program is just an extension of the other things we do to give back to the communities we operate in,” said Roy Williams III, Family Video vice president and regional director, in a news release.

The company offers free turkeys during winter holidays and free rentals for each “A” grade earned by children at the school year’s end, Williams said in the release. The company gave about 2 million free rentals in its Report Card A program, the release stated.

Willams said the company’s new free daily rentals program means about 4,000 new movies are available to Arnold and Jefferson County residents. The program also includes 700 kids', educational and fitness movies.

With the new program, a family or college students can still enjoy movies, Williams said in the release.

“We give back the communities we operate in. We hire local people and, since we own our properties, we pay taxes that support the communityʼs schools, police and fire departments,” he said in the release.

Family Video is the largest privately owned video store company in the country and the second largest when ranked by number of stores.
