The Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery

Tilted Kilt opens first Missouri franchise at Arnold Crossroads Center, bringing with it a new twist to Celtic pub fare and service.

The Tilted Kilt proudly boosts “A cold beer never looked so good.” The slogan based on the concept created by Tilted Kilt founder Mark DiMartino who developed the Celtic themed sports pub featuring servers dressed in tiny kilts and tartan bras.

Tilted Kilt’s Arnold location (Missouri’s only location) is designed as an Americanized version of an Scot-Irish pub, brightly painted, with table and booth seating complete with an oversize bar to accommodate its daily double happy hour; 3-6 p.m. with the second running from10 p.m. to close.  The menu is also given a Celtic slant by incorporating a few Scot-Irish specialties such as Danny Boy’s Shepherd Pie ($9.49) and Maggie Mae’s Fish & Chips ($9.99). Other selections have been renamed to fit the theme such as the Scottish Cheese Steak and Irish Beef Dip Sandwich.

One of the more creative offerings is The Chilelagh (pronounced chill-lay-lay and priced at $9.99), an open-faced chiliburger that’s balanced atop a whole bun before being draped in chili, shredded cheddar and onions. Five other specialty dressed burgers vie for attention with the Chilelagh. For burger purists seeking simple alternatives check out the no-frills “Big Arse” burger or the Dublin, a double cheeseburger constructed with two 10-ounce burgers.

Wraps, salads, pizzas, a couple of pastas and a showing of barbecue fills out the bill’o fare with a short list of desserts to satisfy one's sweet tooth. Our table’s dessert pick - the Tilted Guilt ($4.99), an oven warmed chewy chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate syrup. Tilted Guilt isn’t a Scottish recipe or Irish. However, no complaints were heard.

Price range: TK Chili $4.49 to $15.99 for Flannery’s TK Steak with two sides. Beer prices vary but as company policy states is prettily served at no extra cost.
