Flash Flood Warning for Arnold, Jefferson County

Slow moving thunderstorms, spotted by the National Weather Service, could create flash floods this morning and afternoon.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for Arnold and Jefferson County until 1:30 p.m.

The service spotted slow moving thunderstorms with heavy rainfall across the area, the weather service's website stated. Between 2 to 4 inches have already fallen in certain areas.

Additional heavy rainfall would lead to flash flooding, the weather service said.Β

A flash flood warning means flooding is imminent or is occurring. People in a warning area should move to higher ground, the weather service said.
