Warning: Summer is almost over!
School is coming, summer is ending. First day back for Fox students is August 17th!
Here it is nearing the end of July. We noticed school supplies pushed and advertised in stores for a couple of weeks already. When I checked some of the stores a week or so ago, I did not find my school's supply list.
I remembered not seeing it posted anywhere and going through a lot of hoops in the past to ensure the kiddos had the proper supplies before the first day back in school.

So since it is already the end of July, there is still plenty of time for most of us to get started on the back to school shopping. I found a great website online that has schools listed and a printer friendly version of the supply lists.
Go to this website and simply plug in your zip code, then choose the school and the grade your child is entering. Your list will come up, and there will be an option for a printer friendly version. Are you ready for school to resume?

As part of The International Coalition for Autism and All Abilities (ICAA)'s Mind the Gap project, we will be working on annual school supply drives/distribution. If you are in the FOX C-6 District, here are some important dates for back to school activities:
August 4th: Elementary registration and enrollment, Kindergarten and new school enrollment
August 9th and 10th: Secondary registration
August 11th: Kindergarten orientation
August 15th: Elementary open house
August 17th: First day back to school
August 22nd: Middle school open house
August 25th: High school open house
The next Fox C-6 School Board meeting is on August 30th. Attending these board meetings is imperative to the success and accountability of your school district.
