Electronics Recycling Drive

Boy Scout Troop 744 in Arnold, MO, is offering an opportunity to do a good deed for the environment while helping fund scouting programs.

In partnership with Midwest Recycling Center (MRC), scouts from Troop 744 will collect electronic items for recycling from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 2, on the parking lot of Simpson Elementary School at 3585 Vogel Road in Arnold.

A portion of the proceeds will help pay for camping gear, summer camp and other scouting activities.

Items which can be dropped off for recycling include:

  • Lab Equipment
  • Medical Equipment (Electronic)
  • Telecom Equipment
  • Robotics Equipment
  • Cell Phones
  • Corded & Cordless Phones
  • Pagers
  • Servers
  • All Computer Equipment
  • Computer Accessories
  • Computer Components
  • Printers
  • Copiers
  • Scanners
  • Video Games, Consoles, & Accessories
  • Stereo Equipment
  • Projectors
  • Rechargeable Batteries
  • Lead Acid Batteries

Televisions and computer monitors are the only items for which MRC charges fees.Β  There is a $20 fee for televisions and a $10 fee for computer monitors.Β

Scouts will be on hand to help unload items from vehicles.
