Arnold Library Awarded LSTA Grant for New Self Checkout Machine

The Arnold Branch of the Jefferson County Library (1701 Missouri State Rd, 63010) is pleased to announce that it recently received a federal Library Services and Technology Act grant of $4,142 to purchase a new self checkout machine.  The LSTA funds were made available through the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and administered by the Missouri State Library.
“The new third self checkout station is a wonderful asset to the library.  This will help us serve patrons quicker during high traffic times such as our weekly Story Times.  Children especially love being able to checkout their own books,” said Branch Manager Meredith McCarthy.  People who use the selfcheck machine can also view a list of their items checked out and renew materials as needed.
