Officers found 10 packs of trading cards, which cost about $88.10, near where the boy was caught during his second incident at the store.

Brushes with the Law

It wasn't the boy's first go round with police at the store. In fact, it was his second time at the store that month, according to Maj. Nick McBroom with Arnold Police Department.

McBroom said both times, the boy fought with officers, either biting or kicking them.

"He went back into Target and got out with some Pokémon-brand trading cards," McBroom said. "They (the store management) called us and we found him hiding in a row of trees."

McBroom said during his arrest is when he began trying to bite officers.

"They had to secure him in the car because he was trying to kick out the windows," he said.

The officers found 10 packs of trading cards, which cost about $88.10, near where the boy was caught.

First Time Around

During the June 4 incident  police learned the boy was a runaway, after store security reported him as being at the location alone.

McBroom said the boy became enraged after officers took him to the station.

It was there where he kicked an officer and knocked over the bond bucket, a mailbox inside the station used to store bond money and papers. McBroom also said the boy broke off a piece of trim and set off the fire alarm.
