$3,000 in Copper Wiring Stolen from Contractor

Arnold police also charged two suspects with drug trafficking after finding them with 2-pounds of marijuana.

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

Oct. 9

Wallet Stolen — A customer, at 2201 Michigan Ave., reported her wallet missing from her purse, which she left in an unattended shopping cart. Walmart security found the theft on the store video system. Arnold police charged an Imperial man, 39, for theft and released him on a court summons.

Soliciting w/o a License — Arnold police responded to calls of solicitors in the Walmart area. Arnold police found the suspects near , at 1253 Water Tower Place. A Farmington man, 32, was booked and released on a court summons. Police detained a  Leddington woman, 25, with the suspect on numerous felonies and misdemeanor warrants from agencies in St. Louis and throughout Missouri.

Video Game, GPS stolen from vehicle — A victim on Diane Drive reported a Nintendo DS system and a GPS unit missing from her unlocked vehicle.

Driving while Intoxicated — Arnold police, investigating a vehicle that struck a road hazard near the intersection of Interstate 55 and Hwy 141, arrested an Imperial man, 45, on driving while intoxicated charges. The suspect had a .267 percent blood alcohol test, police said. Police released the suspect on a court summons and to a sober driver.

Oct. 7

Check Fraud — A victim on Vogel Road said she accepted a $450 check from an associate. The issuing bank said the checking account was closed, police said.

Trespassing, Disturbing the Peace— A Lincoln Drive resident, with a fenced property, repeatedly told his 64-year-old neighbor to stay off the property, Arnold police said. The victim also said he posted signs to keep the suspect out. The victim said the suspect was on the property made explicit remarks to the victim’s 13-year-old daughter, the police said. Officers issued two summonses to the suspect, for disturbing the peace and for trespassing, then released him on pending a court appearance.

Oct. 6

Driving while Intoxicated — Arnold police, conducting a traffic stop near Interstate 55 and Richardson Road, arrested a Cape Giradeau man, 30, on charges of driving while intoxicated. The suspect had a blood alcohol level of .154 percent, police said, and later released to a sober driver. 

Drug Paraphernalia Possession — Arnold police, during a traffic stop near the intersection of Jeffco Boulevard and Hwy. 141, found the Fenton man, 38, drving the vehicle in possession of drug paraphernalia. Arnold police released the suspect on a court summons. 

Oct. 5

License Plates Stolen — A victim at Crosswinds Drive reported his Missouri State license plates missing from his 2000 Dodge Neon after it was parked overnight. Arnold police listed the stolen license plates in the crime database.

Oct. 4

iPod Stolen from Unlocked vehicle — Arnold police said a victim shopping at 520 Jeffco, the address for Pawn King, returned to her vehicle to find her $300 iPod missing from her unlocked vehicle.

Drug Possesion — Arnold police arrested and booked an Arnold man, 56, after responding to calls describing him smelling of marijuana and holding a hand-rolled cigarette in the Arnold Recreation Center, at 1695 Missouri State Rd. The suspect said he obtained a synthetic drug used in a similar way to marijuana. Police later released the suspect on a court summons.

Drug Trafficking — Arnold police investigating activities at 3780 Vogel Rd., found two people in possession of about 2 pounds of marijuana, packaging and distribution materials and about $3,000 in cash. Police charged an Arnold man, 20, and a Barnhart woman, 18, with drug trafficking charges then released them on pending arrest warrants.

Oct. 3

Stolen $3,000 in Copper — An Aldi’s contractor working at the grocery’s 2150 Michigan Ave., location reported $3,000 in copper wiring missing from light poles and lights stored behind the grocer’s building, The contractor, Eckelkamm Electric, removed the poles from the parking lot on Sept. 5 and planned to re-install them on Oct. 3.

Broken windshield — A Fox Ridge Court resident reported $350 of damage to his vehicle’s windshield while it was parked overnight.

License Plates Stolen — A Pear Tree Inn hotel customer reported his vehicle’s license plates missing while the it was parked in the lot between Sept. 30 and Oct. 3. Arnold police listed the stolen plates in the crime database. 

Cell Phone Stolen — A victim at 905 Arnold Commons, the address for reported that someone stole his cell phone during his work shift. Arnold police said the victim used the phone’s GPS system to locate the phone in Kirkwood, MO. 

Power Washer Stolen — An Evergreen Drive victim reported a power washer missing from a storage shed. The victim last saw the washer on Sept. 1, police said.

Shoplifting, Fraud —  security, at 2150 Michigan Ave., detained three suspects on two separate shoplifting attempts. Arnold police booked the suspects and released them on separate court summonses.

  • Two women, a 20-year-old from Eureka and a 20-year-old from St. Louis, were detained for shoplifting about $140 in merchandise then returning the items for a gift card.
  • An Arnold man, 47, was detained for shoplifting $481.00 worth of merchandise.
