An Arnold man faces charges related to making methamphetamine after police found pseudoephedrine and other chemicals in a car after a traffic stop.
Michael W. Millaway, 30, of the 800 block of Alan Avenue in Arnold, was charged Thursday with possession of a chemical with intent to make a controlled substance.
Kirkwood police said Millaway was a passenger in a car when it was pulled over for a traffic violation. Millaway and the driver had outstanding warrants, so the officer arrested both of them.
A vehicle search discovered pseudoephedrine, drain cleaner, ice packs and other items commonly used to make meth.
According to a court document, Millaway told the officer he bought the items to take to a drug dealer.
Millaway is being held in the Jefferson County jail. He faces a felony theft charge in a 2011 incident in Jefferson County.
