Doane’s father used a cell phone app to track the truck to a Kohl’s department store parking lot in Crestwood, where he confronted the two men and demanded his truck back.

Passiglia jumped in the truck and began driving off as the owner was holding onto the door handle, and the victim fell and broke his leg, according to a Crestwood Police report. Passiglia backed up and let Nicholas Doane in the truck, and the two men drove off, leaving him in the parking lot.
