Arnold Police Arrest 5 During Sobriety Checkpoint

Have you ever gone through a sobriety checkpoint? How was the experience?

Five people were arrested for driving while intoxicated after Arnold police stopped them during a sobriety checkpoint.

According to police, the checkpoint occurred July 12 thru July 13 at West Outer Road at Elm Drive, 10:30 p.m. to 3 a.m.

None of those arrested are local residents. According to police, four are from Imperial and one was from St. Louis.

Two of those arrested refused a breathalyzer. According to police, five DWI arrests is a higher incident rate for an Arnold sponsored sobriety checkpoint.
