Arnold Police Log: Mom Too Drunk to Care for Kids

Arnold Police submitted the following information in their weekly crime report.

Monday, August 5

Suspects damaged four air conditioners and stole 4 air conditioner coils and three air conditioner compressors, a total estimated loss of $24,000, at RLJ Construction at 505 Jeffco Blvd. The theft and damage took place sometime between 10 a.m. on Aug. 3 and 10 a.m. Aug. 4.

An officer arrested a 20-year-old Arnold man during a traffic stop on suspicion of failure to comply, driving while revoked and outstanding warrants at Old Lemay Ferry Road and Glenwood.

A driver of a black Kia Sportage MSL pumped $20.05 in fuel and left without paying from the Circle K at 2001 Richardson Road.

A victim reported someone struck and damaged her mailbox in front of her home in the 2900 block of Tenbrook Road. She observed a full-size Chevrolet leaving the area.

An officer responded to St. Louis County Jail to take a 32-year-old male from St. Louis into custody on outstanding municipal court warrants.

An officer responded to St. Louis County Jail to take a 52-year-old Maryland Heights man into custody on outstanding municipal court warrants.

Tuesday, August 6
A victim reported someone removed an iPhone and wallet with contents from his shopping cart while he was shopping at Wal-Mart at 2201 Michigan Ave. The security video was unavailable.

Officers responded to Waycross residence and determined the mother of two children ages 2 and 6 was too intoxicated to care for herself and her children. The Department of Family Services was contacted to take custody of the two children while the woman was transported to the hospital.
