Arnold Police: Thefts from Unlocked Cars on Melody Lane

Thieves also targeted a woman who left her car unlocked while she dropped her child off at school.

Arnold Police submitted the following information in their weekly crime report.

Wednesday, August 7
Suspects entered a secure residence under construction at Strawberry Ridge Drive and stole $2,750 in various appliances and accessories.

Police took an 18-year-old woman from Ballwin into custody on suspicion of stealing more than $500 in st. Francois County.

Police arrested a 24-year-old Arnold man on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. He refused a BAC test and was released on summons to a sober driver.

Thursday, August 8
Suspects stole a GPS and two cell phone chargers worth about $440 from unlocked cars in the 2000 block of Melody Lane.

Suspects stole the spare key to an unlocked car and damaged the faceplate to the radio while trying to steal it in the 1900 block of Melody Lane.

Suspects stole a wallet containing a debit card, driver's license and $4 from an unlocked vehicle in the 1600 block of Harmony Lane.

A woman reported that her purse containing a wallet, credit cards and other personal items worth $700 was stolen from an unlocked vehicle while she was dropping her child off at La Petite at 3607 Richardson Road. The debit card was used in St. Louis City shortly after the theft.

A red Tahoe with the Missouri state license plate pumped $92.12 in fuel and left without paying from the Convenient Food Mart at 1980 Richardson Road.
